Our head instructor is Aaron "the Ghost" Fisher. Aaron has over a decade of fighting and training experience along with a passion for teaching that is second to none. During Aaron's amateur career he fought for and held amateur titles in organizations such as the W.K.A. the U.S.K.B.A. and the F.F.A.A. Upon turning Pro in 2006, Aaron traveled to Thailand where he lived and fought continuously for 2 years, winning a local stadium title there as well. In April of 2008 Aaron decided to come back to America and tryout for Season 8 of "The Ultimate Fighter" There were about 250 people at the tryouts, which were held in Boston, after an all day event that included striking drills and Jiu-Jitsu, Aaron made it to the final 30 people to get an interview. After the tryouts Aaron found himself in NYC. Taking a position at a MMA gym in Manhattan, Aaron taught muay Thai and lead students to victorys in both muay Thai and MMA fights. In January 2010 Aaron moved to North Carolina to open Sommai Muay Thai Academy.

Ben has been training at Sommai Muay Thai with Aaron since the gym opened in January 2010. Ben teaches classes from time to time when needed and helps out with new students, showing them the basics. Currently Ben is 4-1 as an amateur fighter.
